June 16, 2025 — The Germain Park lot off Bright Street will be closed starting Tuesday, June 17, 2025 to facilitate the installation of sewer forcemain as part of the Minto and Germain Street Reconstruction Project. The closure is expected to be lifted by Thursday morning.

Project details
That $3.5 million flood-mitigation project will see one kilometre of forcemain replaced under Germain Park to capitalize on new Pumping Station 17 capacity, in addition to new, expanded storm and sanitary sewer for Mayfair Drive from Tweedsmuir to Minto; Minto Street from Mayfair to Germain; and Germain Street from Minto to Indian. The work will also include new road surface, watermain, sidewalk and curbs for these areas.
