July 28, 2025 — The City is continuing efforts to address the impact of flooding that occurred at Progressive Auto Sales Arena on July 16, 2025, focusing on reopening the facility to users as soon as possible.
Rebuilding both ice pads began last week and is continuing this week. Staff have finished the initial work for rink one and work has also begun on rebuilding ice on rink two.
The facility remains closed, and staff are working to expedite reopening. Work is underway removing damaged flooring, ahead of the installation of temporary floors. An updated timeline for reopening is expected later this week.
