June 18, 2025 — Work is underway to replace playground equipment at Sherwood Village Park.
Demolition of existing playground structures that had reached end of life was initiated today and is expected to wrap up within 24 hours, ahead of site preparation work next week.
The approximately $300,000 project will see the installation of modern, state-of-the-art play structures to create a secure, enjoyable environment for the community’s youngest members, fostering enriching outdoor experiences that will benefit them for years to come.
The new play structures will include:
- 4,000 square feet of play surface
- A rope-climbing obstacle structure
- Dedicated toddler play area
- Swing set
Work is expected to take several weeks, and we appreciate the patience of area residents as we make investments into this important community space.
