April 22, 2026 — A Special Meeting of Sarnia City Council will be held in-person on Monday, May 11, 2026, at 1 p.m. in Council Chambers, Sarnia City Hall, with the option for participation by video/teleconference in a hybrid format.

The purpose of the meeting is to receive additional public comments on the Draft Zoning By-law.

The City of Sarnia has prepared a Final Draft of the new Comprehensive Zoning By-law, which will repeal and replace the current Zoning By-law 85 of 2002.

Registration with the Office of the City Clerk is recommended by noon on May 8 by emailing clerks@sarnia.ca or calling 519-332-0330 ext 3320, although anyone in attendance at the meeting will be given the opportunity to provide input.

Written submissions are encouraged in advance of the meeting.

Written comments regarding the Draft Zoning By-Law can be submitted by noon on May 8 to clerks@sarnia.ca or delivered to the Office of the City Clerk, 2nd Floor, City Hall, 255 Christina St. N.

Written comments will be distributed to Council in advance of the meeting and may be published with the meeting agenda.

The public meeting for Official Plan Amendment (OPA) No. 16, originally scheduled for Monday, April 27, 2026, will be rescheduled. Notice of the statutory public meeting will be provided in the Sarnia Observer, on the City’s website, and through Speak Up Sarnia.
