September 25, 2023 — As the City moves forward with improvements to Tecumseh Park, large portions of the park will be closed starting Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2023.
The City is moving forward with installation of new pathways to improve accessibility; replacement of the concrete deck at Tecumseh Pool; pool fence replacement; and improved landscaping. The work is part of ongoing efforts to revitalize the park, expanding amenities, improving accessibility, and ensuring its long-term service to the community.
With construction underway, the entirety of the park, except for the ball diamond, will be closed to allow work to advance and protect public safety. The park will reopen in portions, starting with the area of the skate park and playground. Work in those areas is expected to be completed in four weeks depending on weather conditions.
