May 7, 2024 — As the community marks Victoria Day on Monday May 20, 2024, there will be impacts to some City facilities and services.
The following City facilities will be closed:
- City Hall
- Sarnia Transit Offices
- The Strangway Centre
- Sarnia Compost Site
Some services will also be disrupted:
- Sarnia Transit buses will not be in service on May 20
Waste collection will occur as regularly scheduled.

During the holiday closure residents are asked to reach out only in instances of immediate concern such as watermain breaks, animals at large, and dangerous downed trees. Please call 519-332-0330 and follow the prompts.
Report municipal emergencies afterhours, on evenings and weekends by calling 226-472-1150 or 519-332-0330 and pressing ‘1’ to speak to the City’s third-party service provider.
