March 20, 2024 — The Saturday of Easter weekend promises to be an eggs-cellent good time as Easter in the Park returns to Canatara Park.

Easter in the Park will run from 9 a.m. to noon in the area near the Children’s Animal Farm, the annual event will feature plenty of free Easter fun, in partnership with the Seaway Kiwanis.

The main event, as in years past, will be the annual Easter Egg Hunt, with kids scouring the ground for coloured eggs that they can exchange for a treat. Participants are reminded to bring their own basket. The hunt takes place at 10 a.m., with separate areas for children aged 4 and under alongside those with accessibility needs; 5 to 7; and 8 plus.

“Easter in the Park is certainly a community favourite, and one we are excited to host again as we hop into spring at Canatara Park,” said Parks and Recreation Manager Krissy Glavin.
