October 7, 2026 — Join the City of Sarnia for a spook-tacular good time as Fright Night at Cana-Scare-A Park returns October 24, 2026 from 5 to 9:30 p.m.
The Halloween event hosted in partnership with the Seaway Kiwanis Club will once again promise plenty of frights and delights with an array of self-guided haunted houses and areas, alongside some new additions.
“We’re expanding the event this year, continuing our tradition of celebrating Halloween with no shortage of free, frightful fun for the whole family,” said City Recreation Coordinator Rebecca Warren.
The 2026 instalment of the event will see Pumpkin Carving Demonstrations returning after a hiatus in 2025, alongside several new additions, including Circus Jonathan Halloween-themed strolling entertainment. Also new this year, the event will feature local organizations and businesses acting as Trick-or-Treat Vendors. Each organization will have a table set up to hand out free Halloween treats alongside a trick, specifically a free interactive Halloween activity.
This year will also see the addition of a new haunted area; the Clown’s Dressing Room Escape Room.
The event takes place after dark and participants are reminded to consider safety and visibility when picking costumes. To facilitate the event the Park Service Road / Catchcart Boulevard west of Lake Chipican Drive will be closed from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on October 24, 2025.
Starting October 13 volunteers will begin installing decoration and displays in the area near the Animal Farm for the event.
