FRAUD ALERT – TEXTS REQUESTING PAYMENT
The City does not send text messages requesting payment of any kind. These requests are not legitimate, please do not follow any links or directions contained within.

You can report potential fraud to the Sarnia Police Service, via their online form. Additionally, residents are recommended to report spam text messages to 7726.

Payment options

Payment is due within 30 days of the date of the parking infraction, afterwards the ticket is overdue and payable as noted below.

Overdue payments
To make payment for a City of Sarnia overdue ticket that the been “Sent to Court” please contact the County of Lambton Court Services Department.

Option to appear in court
Within 15 days of the parking infraction you may notify By-law Enforcement of your intention to appear in court by completing the back of your parking ticket and delivering it to City Hall.

The $4 processing fee can not be refunded as it is built into our fees and payment method under our agreement with the software provider.

Private parking inquiries

Inquiries regarding payment machines or parking tickets issued at private parking lots not owned by the City of Sarnia (where the City provides enforcement services) should be directed to the property owner or management of the specific lot (hospital, private businesses).
