Goodwill Donation Drive October 24 to 31

By City Staff

Employees of the City of Sarnia are participating in a donation drive for Goodwill Industries Essex Kent Lambton (Sarnia location). City employees and Councillors are encouraged to drop off donations at donation bins located at City Hall, Public Works, Transit Office, Police Station, and East St. Fire Hall from October 24 to 31, 2016.

Donating unwanted clothes and goods to Goodwill helps our community and the environment by providing career and education services and keeping material out of landfills.

“City staff are pleased to participate in Goodwill’s program to help people in our community find jobs, support their families and feel the satisfaction that comes from working,” explains Margaret Misek-Evans, City Manager.

“If each City employee donates one bag of donations, Goodwill could provide a full-time 30 day job trial for two people,” states Heather Allen, Manager of Marketing & Communications, Goodwill Industries EKL.
