In March 2020, the Lawrence House closed temporarily due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Since the closure, the Lawrence House Board of Directors established a Re-Opening Sub-Committee to create a plan with a goal to re-open in October.
The Lawrence House Centre for the Arts is delighted to announce they will re-open on Friday, October 2, 2020 and will be open three days a week on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00am – 4:00pm.
The Lawrence House Centre for the Arts Re-Opening Plan has been reviewed by Lambton Public Health and a walk-through of the building was conducted by the City Health and Safety Officer.
During the closure, staff were able to work on a variety of maintenance projects that will be completed in time for re-opening.
Lawrence House Board Members and volunteers were able to transfer the Gift Shop to an online format and are now able to feature a virtual writing blog to patrons.
