We offer an array of programs for adults aged 20 and older ranging from educational experiences, arts instruction, games, sports, fitness, and special interests out of the Strangway Community Centre. You can view opportunities and register via the Xplor Portal.

Drop-in Programs
Drop-in programs do not require pre-registration. You can participate in games, sports, hobbies, and more.
You can view upcoming drop-in programs via the Xplor Portal.
While the widget displays total available program slots, you cannot register for or reserve a spot.
Payments and Cancellations
All programs are subject to the City’s Payments and Cancellations Policy. An Administration Fee will apply to all refunds. Below cancellation timelines apply:
Received more than 14 days before the program start date – full refund or account credit, less the Administration Fee.
Received less than 14 days before the program start date – account credit for the full amount, less the Administration Fee.
Received same day or afterwards – no refund or credit will be issued.

Children’s Programming
Summer Day Camps
Children’s summer day camps at Camp Saredaca are offered in parternship with the YMCA of Southwestern Ontario. Please visit the Sarnia-Lambton YMCA website for more information.
Children’s Mini Choo Choo Train
The train is currently not running due to mechanical issues. We apologize for any inconvenience.
The Children’s Mini Choo Choo Train is a 42-foot-long train, seating 10, that is wheelchair accessible, located in Canatara Park in partnership with the Seaway Kiwanis Club. It starts at the station near the Children’s Animal Farm and travels throughout the park for approximately five-minute trips.
The train is not rented out for private use or gatherings/parties.
The price for the train is $2 per person or $5 for a family with three or more children. Adults accompanying a child ride free.
Payments are accepted by QR code (online payment) at the train station. Cash is not accepted.
Train Hours of Operations
May and June – Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
July and August – Tuesday through Sunday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Children’s Animal Farm
The Children’s Animal Farm at Canatara Park is operated by the Sarnia District Humane Society in partnership with the Seaway Kiwanis Club and the City.
