City Facility and Event Disruption – July 16 and 17, 2026

In response to Air Quality concerns, both the Sarnia Compost Site and Tecumseh Pool will be closed on July 16 and 17, 2026. The July 16, 2026 Sounds of Summer performance at Germain Park has also been cancelled. Tecumseh Pool is operated by the YMCA of Southwestern Ontario. Swimming lessons and aquafit programming are being relocated / rescheduled. For further information, please contact the YMCA of Southwestern Ontario. With and Orange Level Air Quality Warning in effect, residents are advised to follow the directions of Lambton Public Health.
