Collection Schedule

Garbage collection occurs weekly. For more information on garbage collection, refer to the Garbage Collection Guidelines.

Recycle collection occurs bi-weekly in your designated zone on the same day as waste collection. For more information on recycle collection please view the Recycling Guidelines webpage.

The Province of Ontario is transitioning recycle collection away from municipalities like the City of Sarnia and placing responsibility in the hands of those who produce recyclable materials. Starting on July 1, 2023, the producers will take on the collection of recycling in Sarnia.

Producers are still finalizing the details, updates will be provided on recycling for the second half of 2023 when available.
